As of June 2024, every 5 Point Auto Group auction runs fully online. There is no floor to stand on any more, and no reason to drive to one.
What this changes for buyers
- Bid from anywhere. The catalogue, the countdown and the bidding are all in your browser, on a phone or a desktop.
- Every lot carries the same paperwork it always did — inspection report, photo set, odometer reading and title status — published before the lot opens, not handed over at the door.
- Registration is done once. After your ID is approved you keep a single account for every future event.
- Delivery is arranged after the sale, to your address, anywhere in the country. Yard pickup stays available for anyone who prefers it.
What has not changed
The way lots are sourced and vetted is exactly as before: lender repossessions, fleet returns and dealer trade-ins, each one inspected and title-checked before it reaches the catalogue. A bid is still a commitment to buy, and the reserve is still the reserve.
Why we moved
Most of our bidding was already coming in remotely, and holding a physical event for the minority who attended meant everyone else bid against a room they could not see. Running one online floor puts every buyer on the same footing — the same information, the same clock, the same increments.
The next catalogue is open now. Register once, get approved, and you can bid on everything that follows.
